About
I am an impassioned practitioner of this time-honored tradition called Chinese medicine, an avid (though sometimes challenged) gardener, an adoring mother, a dyed-in-the-wool Hudson Valley dweller, and proud builder of campfires and natural shelters.
I knew since college that I wanted to work on my own terms and also help people help themselves. Truth is, although nature’s power lured me and pre-modern people’s facile use of plants fascinated me, I virtually stumbled upon the field of Chinese Medicine.
Yin-Yang and 5-Element Theories – loved them! I know, most of you have no idea what I’m talking about, but I’ll give you an earful if you’re ever interested. Yet more than theory, I found in Classical Chinese Medicine a wedding of my twin passions for nature and creating positive change.
