We see patients in person at the Nourishing Life Health Center at 2821 Route 209 in Kingston, NY (on the border of Stone Ridge).

We also treat patients internationally via telemedicine. (This may also be a preferred option for more local patients who are unable to leave their home due to illness, weather or time constraints.)

Unfortunately, we do NOT accept Medicare or Medicaid.

All of our practitioners are licensed and certified in acupuncture and herbalism. Our Associates have completed extensive training with Hillary, and have additional specialized skills. They come highly recommended!

During your initial consultation, you will spend 40-60 minutes with your practitioner reviewing your health history, past treatments, and current health issues in depth. This will be followed by (if in-person) an acupuncture treatment.

From there, we create a customized treatment plan for you using a range of holistic and Chinese medical therapies. Herbs, liposomal essential oil remedies, detox practices, food and other forms of lifestyle medicine may be recommended and discussed.

You will leave your first visit with a clear plan forward. You will have clear next steps spelled out for you including a health and treatment plan to implement, diagnostic follow-up instructions if needed, and a sense of what to expect as we moving forward together on your healing journey. All of your questions will be answered before the close of our session.

Send any recent labs or blood work that may be relevant to us ahead of time, as well as your list of medications, herbs and supplements that you are currently taking. When acupuncture is needed for pain or nervous system healing, we recommend weekly sessions. If we are working on complex internal health issues that will take some time to heal, we may recommend follow-up consultations every 2 – 4 weeks so you have time to implement a new protocol before we need to check in on your progress. That said, each case is unique. Be aware that too few check-ins may slow your progress and stunt your results.

Following your initial visit, your practitioner will craft a clear treatment plan for you and tell you how often you should have treatment. Everyone responds to treatment differently, so your results will depend on your particular situation. There are certain issues that can be addressed in a few visits; other cases might require more consultation over time until your goal is met. Your practitioner will be able to guide you on the results you can expect.  Often, patients will notice relief from a specific symptom straight away, though we may need more time to work on the underlying root of the issue.

We have a lot of patients with many and varied sensitivities to foods, herbs, supplements, environmental factors, and various treatments. It’s important to us that the solutions we offer meet patients where they are. Our general approach is to cleanse, detoxify, and build resilience before, during, and after we work an antimicrobial regimen, so that the patient doesn’t feel overwhelmed or attempt too much too fast. We also start with small steps to ensure that substances are well-tolerated before we add on. That is all to say, your protocol will be quite individually tailored to you and the pace and strength that works for YOUR needs.

Our knowledgeable support staff may either answer your question directly or they will check in with your practitioner if needed to provide clarification regarding your treatment or make recommendations if you are experiencing a difficulty.  We typically acknowledge receipt of your query within 1 business day, and it may take up to 1 additional business day to answer your question if it involves reaching out to a practitioner. This type of support typically requires a few minutes by phone, or a brief email reply.

If questions are complex, complicated to answer in full, involve a lot of new information (such as labs), or require re-working of herbal or essential oil formulations, these queries may need to wait until your next follow-up consultation to be fully addressed.

If your health challenges are relatively straightforward or new (acute), chances are your body will heal quickly.

Many of our patients deal with more entrenched, complex health issues. Healing from Lyme, autoimmune, or other complex chronic illness may take considerable time and dedication.

Every person’s journey is different, and though we don’t know what your journey will look like, we’re committed to seeing you through the hard work of healing. We feel that this is the best way of ensuring that we make real progress together.

In short, yes. We work with where you’re at right now, helping you incorporate practices that will help your current protocols be more effective. If you want to transition away from antibiotics or other meds, we can also help you bridge the gap naturally.

Yes, we regularly work with patients who have support from other practitioners. If you are working with a doctor, we are happy to partner with them to create your personalized treatment plan.

Yes. The need for well-trained holistic Lyme and complex chronic disease specialists is world-wide. Meanwhile, the number of healthcare providers who can identify and treat these diseases is extremely small. We offer both in-person and virtual treatment to accommodate all.
